Access and security cookies
__Host-preptag-session stores a random session identifier after sign-in: up to 1 hour for staff and 12 hours for administrators. It is removed on sign-out. On unsecured development environments it is called preptag-session. The old name sid is recognised only for existing sessions and cleared on sign-in or sign-out.
__Host-preptag-maintenance supports restoring access during maintenance, for up to 1 hour. Its development variant is preptag-maintenance. These cookies use HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax and are Secure on HTTPS.
Preferences in localStorage
preptag-language: your chosen language.
preptag-a4-printer-[customer]: the administrator's chosen A4 printer.
preptag-cookie-notice: remembers that you closed the information notice, valid for 180 days. On a subsequent visit after that period, the old value is removed or replaced.
Language and printer preferences have no automatic expiry and remain until you change them or delete browser data. This storage is not sent with every web request.
preptag-accessibility: stores your chosen homepage accessibility settings until you reset them or delete browser data. These functional preferences are not sent to an external service.
Temporary sessionStorage
preptag-shop-cart-[account]: items, quantities and a request identifier for the basket. The storage key includes the customer number and login email address.
preptag-admin-access: temporary access to a customer environment opened by system administration.
preptag-maintenance-ack: remembers an acknowledged maintenance notice.
This storage belongs to the browser tab and is normally deleted when the tab closes. Browser recovery may restore a tab session. Clearing site data also clears this storage.
External services
PrepTag uses Cloudflare Turnstile at administrator sign-in to protect against automated abuse. Cloudflare receives technical browser and connection data. No Cloudflare cookies were observed during our check. Depending on security configuration, Cloudflare may use necessary security storage, such as cf_clearance when pre-clearance is enabled. You go to Mollie's payment environment only when you start payment. Mollie's own cookie and privacy information applies there. Resend sends login and order emails from the server and does not place browser cookies through PrepTag web pages.

Employee name and lease signing
The employee app stores the entered name per customer under preptag-employee-name:[customer] in localStorage, to suggest it on the next visit from the same device. It has no automatic expiry; update it on shared devices and clear site data when needed. The separate lease-signing page adds no browser storage or tracking. The personal access key is in the invitation URL fragment and is used for protected document requests; keep the link confidential. Verification codes are not stored in localStorage or cookies.
Our own visitor statistics
Functional storage remains necessary for sign-in and preferences. Only after consent using OK or the cookie settings do we measure public page visits using a random browser identifier. These statistics do not store names, email addresses, complete IP addresses, complete referring URLs or payment details. We process a hashed browser identifier, sessions, page path, date, referring domain, device type, selected language and estimated country.
Consent and the browser identifier expire within 180 days; raw page measurements and sessions are kept for up to 90 days. You can withdraw consent through Cookie settings. Browser identifiers are removed and your browser requests deletion of associated measurements. No advertising tracking or sharing with advertising providers is used. Unique means a recognised browser, not necessarily a unique person.
Website assistant and voice
The website assistant answers questions using public website information. PrepTag does not store chat questions or audio. The conversation remains temporarily in the open browser window. Speech recognition and reading aloud are optional browser features; the microphone starts only after your own choice. Your browser may process audio through an online recognition service. Review the recognised text before sending it.
